COMPANION PROGRAM
The Association of Pacific Ports Annual Conference Companion Program offers accompanying guests an opportunity to experience the culture, history, and natural beauty of our host destination while conference delegates participate in business sessions. Designed to be both engaging and memorable, the program features a variety of guided tours, cultural experiences, and social activities that showcase the unique character and hospitality of Guam.
Whether exploring historic landmarks, enjoying local cuisine, discovering island traditions, or connecting with fellow companions from across the Pacific, participants will enjoy meaningful experiences and lasting friendships. We invite you to take part in this special program and create unforgettable memories while sharing in the spirit of fellowship that makes the APP Conference truly unique.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 2, 2026
- 2:00 to 7:00 pm Pre-Conference Jet Lag Recovery Day
MONDAY, AUGUST 3, 2026
- 6:30 to 11:00 am – Golf: Country Club of the Pacific (note: additional $200 charge — must pre-book)
- 5:00 to 9:00 pm – Welcome Reception and Dinner — a traditional CHamoru welcome on the beach with chanting and singing while a Micronesian School of Weriyeng’s canoe sails in from the sea. Guests will then enjoy a buffet dinner at the Seaside Deck Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Guam.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2026
- 7:00 to 9:00 am — Breakfast
- Estimate: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm — City Sightseeing Tour — Enjoy the sights of Guam with a professional tour guide! Stops include Paceo de Susana Park, the Pacific War Museum, Fort Apugan, Latte Stone Park, Agana Cathedral and Two Lovers Point.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, 2026
- 7:00 to 9:00 am — Breakfast
- 10:40 am to 1:30 pm — Companions will join delegates for a tour of the Glass Breakwater and lunch at the PAG Family Beach
- 5:30 pm — CHamoru Village Night Market — All guests and delegates will be shuttled to the Night Market where they will be able to choose from a selection of local food stalls for dinner, enjoy cultural entertainment and browse through local arts and crafts.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2026
- 7:00 to 9:00 am — Breakfast
- 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (includes lunch) — Adventure River Cruise – Valley of the Latte Adventure Park – The Valley of the Latte delivers a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience. As you travel along the Talofofo and Ugum Rivers, you will be transported to another time at the heart of Guam. Knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining guides will share the rich history and culture of the Ancient Latte site, the local waters, the local wildlife, and ensure that you are smiling from start to finish. You will be welcomed by our living village, guided through a breathtaking botanical garden and be able to enjoy a ride on our friendly Karabao as you learn about the island wildlife at our Animal Sanctuary. The experience only gets better as our guides demonstrate how ancient Chamorros started their fires and show you traditional basket weaving techniques.
