Nicole Baker is the owner of Net Your Problem LLC, and works alongside her four colleagues to divert marine waste like netting and line from the landfill. In the past 8 years, Net Your Problem has established collection programs in remote communities in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Project are in development for other ports on all US coasts like New Jersey, Florida and in the Gulf of Mexico. Over 2.2 million pounds of netting and line has been collected so far, from individual vessels and by partnering with Native Tribes and community groups.
