Jason Middleton is the Pacific Northwest Regional Manager for United Grain Corporation, a leading grain export company in North America. Overseeing grain merchandising and originating, as well as the operations of United Grain’s assets in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.

Prior to being named PNW Regional Manager in June 2016, Jason served as the Director of Grain Operations for Pendleton Grain Growers from 2012 – 2016.  Before joining PGG, Middleton spent 17 years with Louis Dreyfus Corporation serving in various roles. While working in the grain industry Middleton served as a board member for several years for Pacific Northwest Grain and Feed Association, with the last year in his role as President.  Middleton was elected as a Commissioner for the Port of Umatilla back in 2022 and is also finishing up his final term as Commissioner for the Oregon Wheat Commission.

Sometimes life takes you in unexpected directions as is the case with Middleton.  After pursuing a career in civil engineering, attending Portland State University. He chose to enter the grain export industry and never looked back. Jason and his wife, Cindy, were raised in Umatilla County and returned to the area about 20 years ago with daughter, Reed, and son, Rian.  Both Reed and Rian have graduated Hermiston High School and are now onto other endeavors.  Reed, after getting her master’s degree in agriculture economics, is back working for Kansas State University in International Agriculture Research. Rian loves working at the local Ranch and Home Store and volunteering in his community every chance he gets.  Lastly, Middleton would not have his family or career if it weren’t for his wonderful wife Cindy!

Since 2020, the US’s role in producing and shipping agricultural commodities to end users around the globe has seen a variety of change.  Middleton is excited to be a part of the next chapter in American Agriculture and supply chain economics.
